Cable Car

The Table Mountain Aerial Cableway Company was formed in 1929 and since then it provided a world class experience to over 22 million visitors who used its services since.

The cable car is by far the fastest and easiest way of reaching the summit.

Getting to the cable car is easy. Best option is to take the bus as parking spots are hard to come by.

There is a station at Kloof Nek Road.

Cable car tickets can be purchased at the station or at City Sightseeing Bus drivers.

Except for the winter period (1 May – 15 September) when the cable car opens at 8:30, it opens at 08:00 AM. Last car up is at 20:30 between 16 December and 15 January during peak season.

At the first half of December and second half of January the last car up goes at 20:00. February is open until 19:30, November until 19:00, March until 18:30 and earlier during winter.

Return adult tickets cost 225 rand (about 18 USD), while children between 4 and 17 years old pay only 110 rand.
